I got the idea of letting Reed paint on a canvas for his room from Katie May who got the idea from reading MckMama's blog. What a cool idea and Reed did it all on his own. I basically got all the colors in his quilt and let him go to town. They turned out pretty cute if I say so myself and he loved getting to do it! He is pretty proud of them and wants to show everyone who comes over his new Pictures.

Jason and I celebrated or 4 year anniversary last night. We spent the evening going to dinner and having a few glasses of wine at Cru Bar. It was so nice to have a night away together, to celebrate us! I love him so much and so thankful God put him in my life to be my husband and the father to our two boys! I love you, Jason!

St George Island

We headed down to St George Island with my parents and my sister & her family. My parents rented a huge house with a pool right on the beach! We had so much fun hanging out, eating fantastic sea food, and just being flat out lazy!

Night Out

Saturday night we went out for Jason's cousin 30th birthday. It was our first big night out since Colton was born. We started out the evening having dinner and drinks with David & KellieAnne at the yummy Javiers. We then met up with his cousin and the rest of the group at J Black's off of Knox-Henderson. We had a lot of fun celebrating with Justin and hanging out with old friends that we don't get to see very often. Happy 30th JJ!

Fourth of July

Our fourth of July plans changed drastically in a matter of hours, maybe even minutes this year. My ever so sweet husband and his best friend, David, decided on a whim that we were loading up and heading to Possum Kingdom. KellieAnne and I frantically loaded up the kids and headed out to buy them life jackets and any last minute thing we could think of that we might need for the weekend. We somehow managed to get everything together in just a few short hours for 4 adults, 3 children & 4 dogs.

At this point I was feeling slightly overwhelmed, exhausted & negative about our weekend plans. Long story short, we ended up having a blast! A big Thank You to the Howell & Plano families for inviting us into your homes. We went to Hells Gate for the fireworks show & it was amazing. I have never seen anything like it and Reed LOVED it. The guys put on their own firework show for everyone there to say thanks for letting us join in on their 4th of July fun and we also participated in their "Mistake at the Lake" band. I hope we are invited back next year.

3 Months

Colton is such an easy going baby and super sweet...his little smiles and giggles melt my heart! He's definitely done with the pacifier and going to be my thumb sucker...I love it, though! He is an amazing sleeper. Still sleeping about 10 hours at night, waking to nurse and then back to sleep. On average, he takes a 2 hour morning nap and a 2-3 hour afternoon nap. No complaints here! He loves to lay under his little play mat and bat at all the little things hanging. He likes his exersaucer and I have recently started putting him in the jumparoo, but he absolutely loves watching his big brother. I know that they are going to be best buds someday. He's going on his first big vacation to Florida in a few weeks. I'll let you know how that goes...I sure hope he's a happy traveler!

Father's Day

Fathers Day was quiet this year. Just what Jason wanted. He didn't feel like doing much, so my parents came over around lunchtime for hamburgers and his parents & grandparents brought dinner over later that evening.

I love Jason so much and cannot imagine my life without him. He is such an amazing husband and even more of an amazing father to our two boys. We are so lucky to have him in our lives. God has truly blessed me with the most patient, loving, and kind hearted man. Thank you Jason for everything that you do for us. Happy Father's Day. I love you!

2 Year & 2 Month Check Ups

Today we had both boys well checks and they both seem to be doing fantastic and following right along with their developmental milestones. Here are their stats...

Reed-38.4 lbs & 39.2 in, both above the 100%
Colton-14.6 lbs & 25.5 in, both above the 97%

Reed is such a happy boy and loves everything about life. He has a great little personality and doing some pretty funny things. One of my favorites is when he calls his daddy by his first name. He will be playing in his room and all of a sudden we will hear "J-Gun, aka Jason, come here." I love it! I'm pretty sure he's mimicking his momma:) His language has come along ways and he is starting to talk in 3-4 word sentences. Some of which I can only understand. He can count to 10 but can't point out all of the numbers. We are working on his ABC's but still not even close to mastering this one. He knows his animals and what sound they each make. He knows the names of colors but can't point them all out and he knows a few shapes-circle, square, star and oval. His absolute, most favorite thing to do right now is playing in Jason's truck or as Reed calls it, "BIG Truck". He asks to play in the big truck from the moment he wakes up in the morning. I haven't even begun the task of potty training. I think he could totally do it, I'm just not ready to do it. Pure laziness on my part. I figured I would start once we get back from vacation. He has become a little testy lately but nothing I can't handle. I'm sure I'll be singing a different tune in a few months. His growth seems to be slowing down slightly, but I think it's still too early to notice a huge difference. We are having so much fun with him and love watching him develop such a fun personality.

Colton is still the same sweet boy that he was a week ago. He's a big boy! Bigger than what his brother was at 2 months. I'm not super concerned about the growth issue but the doctor said there is a good chance he will have the same thing that Reed has. There are a couple of signs but I'm not worrying about it yet. He's cooing and smiling all the time. Loves his swing and liking his bouncy seat and exersaucer. We are starting him on some reflux medicine because he is beginning to spit up and fight me on eating. He has is good days and bad days.

2 Months

I can't believe Colton is already 2 months. Time is flying by and he is doing great. Smiling and cooing all the time now. I love it! He sleeps 9-10 hours at night, eats for a little bit and then back to sleep for a couple more hours. I moved him to his room, his big boy bed, because he is a noisy sleeper. He has found his thumb and doesn't want to have anything to do with his pacifier anymore. It's pretty cute watching him go to town on it. I know I'm going to be thinking differently when he is 5 with it in his mouth. We go to the doctor next Friday for his 2 month well check and I'm pretty sure I have another big boy on my hands. He has outgrown all of his 0-3 month clothes. I love this little boy to the moon and back.

Memorial Weekend...

was spent in Galveston with the Dercks Family, Brad, Tayla and Dylan. We also brought along my mother in law to help out with all of the kiddos. It was wonderful having her there. She pretty much took care of Colton & Reed the entire weekend and would watch all of the other little ones during nap time. It made the weekend way more relaxing and allowed us all to have a great time!

Reed's Two!

This year I decided to have a little less low key birthday party for Reed as opposed to the birthday extravaganza that we had last year. We took him to GhattiTown and decided to only invite the grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins and close friends. It was perfect! He ran crazy, played games, opened presents, ate tons of pizza and yummy cupcakes from our favorite cake lady!

Testitoxicosis

A few months back I posted about Reed's continuous growth and that he might be following in his daddy's footsteps. This seems to be the case and he has what is called Testitoxicosis. Long story short...He has a major increase in his testosterone levels. A normal testosterone level for a 2 year old is 1, Reed's are at 105. Can you imagine how he must be feeling??? Since testitoxicosis is extremely uncommon, there isn't a ton of research out there for it. When it comes to your children you want to make sure they are getting the best care possible. We visited a couple different specialist and had a bunch of test done to ensure he gets the correct treatment for this. There are so many different outcomes it's difficult to decide what to do.

For now, we have chosen to put Reed on a medication that should help slow things down and allow him to grow at a normal rate. The medication is actually FDA approved for women with breast cancer but has been proven to work in cases like Reed's. We have to go every couple of months and have a bone age done to make sure he hasn't slowed down too much or even stopped growing. Jason really struggled with this decision because he turned out just fine without having to take medication. If we don't put Reed on medication, there is a possibility that he will do just what Jason did which is...grow at an extremely fast rate at a very young age and never grow again. Jason hasn't grown since he was in the 3rd grade. Reed seems to be tolerating the medicine well but it will take some time to see if it is doing the trick!

This is not the best picture but I am having to use my iphone since my camera is broken. We have made it through the first month and we are surviving. Life is not the same anymore with a newborn an almost 2 year old. I definitely think I took it for granted how easy it was with just one. Reed is doing great having a baby brother around but it seems he only needs my attention when it's time for me to sit down and feed Colton, how convenient! Colton is such a sweet and easy baby. I feel way more laid back this time around than I did with Reed. He hates being swaddled but is still sleeping like a champ only getting up once to feed and then he is back to sleeping. I love him so much and couldn't imagine life without him!

Ft Worth Zoo

I have been feeling a little claustrophobic lately. Since Colton has been born I haven't been able to get out and do much. I have made a couple of trips to target and doctors appointments but that's really been it. I am so used to getting out of the house and being on the go with Reed. I had the bright idea of going to the Ft Worth Zoo for our first family of 4 outing. Jason has never been to the Ft Worth Zoo so I thought it might be something different for us to do. The weather was great, the kiddos were awesome, all of the animals were out to play, it was just insanely packed. Katie let me borrow her Baby Katan and it was a life saver. Colton slept the entire time we were there. I didn't get many pictures because my camera stopped working while we were there:(

2 Weeks

We have officially survived the first 2 weeks and doing fairly well. A BIG thank you to mine and Jason's mom who each stayed a week to help out with Reed, cook and clean and to my besties for bringing us dinners and lunches this week! I might have a different attitude if it wasn't for y'all! Colton went in for his 2 week check up and seems to be doing great. He now weighs 9 lbs 6 oz and is 22 inches long. He pretty much sleeps all day and gets up about every 4 hours during the night...not too shabby!

He is finally here! Colton arrived on Monday, April 5 at 5:51 p.m. weighing 8 lbs 4 oz and 20.75 inches. The whole labor and delivery process was fairly easy again. My doctor set me up to be induced due to my extremely fast labor with Reed...she wanted to make sure she was there this time!
I started off trying the same procedure I did with Reed, cervical ripening, but nothing happened this time. So, I had to wait 6 hours for the pitocin. Once I got that, things kicked into full on labor and Colton was here 2 hours and 2 pushes later. I love him more than I ever thought I could. I worried my whole pregnancy about being able to love him as much as I love Reed but it really is possible.
Reed is doing fairly well with the new transition. The first couple of days were a little rough. He didn't like seeing me in the hospital bed and the first day we got home he wouldn't pay any attention me. He has definitely come around and is back to his same ole happy self.

Easter

We had a rather low key Easter this year! Since I knew I was being induced the next day and that it was going to be my last day with "just" Reed, I wanted the day to be with just him and Jason. We went to church and then played outside, dyed Easter eggs and just hung out the 3 of us. It was PERFECT!

I know I haven't blogged much lately, but I have been busy transitioning Reed to a "big boy bed", painting, trying to get organized for the arrival of Colton and spending the rest of the time hanging out with Reed. I'll post picks of Reed's new room and Colton's room as soon as we are finished.

Snow Feb. 2010

Winter has been so crazy in the DFW area this year. Last Thursday Dallas had a record snowfall of 12.5 inches and we had to take full advantage of it. It was beautiful and Reed LOVED it. He went into major meltdown mode when it was time to come in.

I want to start off with the best update of all, my mom. It seems that God has answered all of our prayers and my mom does NOT have cancer. WoooHooo!!! She has what is called Cyclical Neutropenia. It's basically where her body for some reason does not always produce the right amount of white blood cells. Her doctor has been observing her over the past couple of months and he noticed that when her count is down is when she feels tired, blah and more prone to bacterial infections. The bone marrow test also came back that she does not have any abnormalities. That's great information for both me and my sister because my mom was adopted. She is still loosing weight, not able to eat much and having lots of pain in her side where she had shingles 7 years ago. Her doctor is sending her back to the gastro dude to try and figure out what's going on there. For now, we are praising Jesus for taking care of my momma!!!!

Reed is now 20 months old and full of life and energy. He's the happiest little boy and gets so excited about the simplest things. I'm cherishing and loving every minute of what little alone time I have left with him. I get sad sometimes when I think about it not being just me and him anymore. He's my little buddy. He's such a little talker like his daddy and we are starting to understand him more and more every day. He's growing up WAY to fast. Speaking of growing, we were referred to see a pediatric endocrinologist for his growth. A while back I posted a blog about Jason going through puberty at the age of 2, something called precocious puberty. I know funny, weird and crazy all at the same time. There is a significant amount of family history with the Blakely boys and precocious puberty so we always knew that this could be a possibility with Reed. At his 18 month well check the pediatrician finally started showing some concern with Reed and his growth...with both his height and his boy parts. He weighs 36.6 and is 37 inches tall. Those put him way over the growth curve for his age and in about the 50-60% for a 3 year old. So, we finally got in to see the endocrinologist and still don't really know much and probably wont for a few months. She took lots of measurements, including his boy parts which was extremely awkward, took blood and sent him to have what is called a hemi-skeleton to help determine what his body really thinks his age is. Once she gathers all of this information we will go from there. It could be that he is taking after my dad and going to be a big boy or that he is in the beginning stages of precocious puberty. Jason is such an amazing father and I know that if it turns out that Reed has what he had, he will be able to help and prepare him for some of the life changes that he will have to deal with.

As for me and baby we are still continuing to grow at a steady pace. For some reason this little boy has decided he did not like being head down anymore and has flipped. He still has some time to flip back so I am trying not to get myself too worked up yet about a c-section. Since he has decided to do this he is now causing me a great deal of pain in my hips and butt. I look ridiculous when I'm walking because I don't really walk, I have to waddle. I'm sure I look overly dramatic but if I walk normal it sends a shooting pain through my body. Picking up Reed is becoming extremely difficult and trying to get comfortable to sleep at night is almost impossible and I still have 8 weeks to go...WHEW. My doctor is still planning on inducing me at 39 weeks. Since my delivery last time was super crazy fast she does not want to take the chance of me delivering at home...I really don't want to either.

I think that's all the exciting news I have for now.

Bronchitis/Bronchiolitis...

Has been lingering on in this large body of mine since before Christmas. I have never had bronchitis before and do not think I ever want it again, especially while I am pregnant. There were a couple of nights I seriously considered having Jason take me to the hospital. That seems so dramatic, but being pregnant and not able to take much I felt like the coughing was not going to ever stop and my lungs were going to collapse. I was finally prescribed an antibiotic and some cough syrup for bed time to help me sleep at night...I think I might becoming slightly addicted to it :/ Reed started showing the same signs as me around New Year's and when I finally took him in they diagnosed him with Bronchiolitis. So, he has been on breathing treatments for about a week now but seems much better. After going through boxes of kleenex and bags of cough drops, I think we are both finally over the major hump of it all!

26 1/2 Weeks

Baby and I are continuing to grow at a very rapid pace. I wish I could step on the scale just one time and I will have only gained a pound. This last doctors visit I almost skipped a whole digit of numbers :( Other than that, nothing really new and exciting going on. I passed my glucose test and they did my follow up sonogram and my placenta was in the correct place and they were able to get the view of his heart that they weren't able to get last time. I am so ready to not be pregnant anymore but so not ready to bring him home. I think we have kinda sorta decided on a first name, Colton/Kolton/Kolten but that is as far as we have gotten. I have too many decisions to make and running out of time.

Prayers

My mom is dealing with some health issues and the doctors haven't exactly been able to pinpoint what is going on. Long story short, she got the results from her CT Scan last night and they did not find what they were hoping to find. She will now have to give bone marrow at the first of the year to help the doctors further their evaluation. We are hoping for the best case scenario when they get the results but there is still the nagging leukemia thought/talk in the back of everyone's mind. Please keep my mom and family in your thoughts and prayers through the holidays.

Dermatologist

For the past 10 months we have been dealing with the most annoying "diaper rash" known to mankind. After countless tubes of diaper ointments, doctors visits and me yelling at Reed on a daily basis to stop scratching his booty so he wouldn't make himself bleed to death, I found a pediatric dermatologist who has finally figured out the mystery diaper rash...Reed is allergic to the blue-dye in diapers. Who would have thought??? Not me!!! So, now that we know how to fix the problem it's finding what I need to fix it. He has to wear a dye-free, chlorine-free diaper. That's really not that big of deal but I have only been able to find 2 different brands, Earths Best and Seventh Generation and the largest count I can find is 22 diapers for $12. How annoying is that??? If anyone has ever seen this type of diaper in a larger count would you please pass along the info. I would greatly appreciate the help! Good news is, he doesn't have a rough, red bottom anymore and doesn't scratch at it!

Daddy Time

It has always driven me crazy that Reed wasn't saying some of the most important "first" words correctly and really wasn't even saying many words. For instance bye-bye sounded like dye-dye or dog sounded like da-a. Everything always started with "d". When we went in for his 12 month well visit I brought this up to the pediatrician and he tried making me feel better and reassuring me that every child develops differently so it wasn't anything I should be concerned about. It's hard not to worry and compare your child to the other children around who were talking so much more than Reed. I was constantly worrying that he was going to be behind developmentally or that one day we would be dealing with speech problems. So.....

Reed finally had tubes put in both ears about a month ago and they have made a huge difference around here. The doctors decided after 9 ear infections, a ruptured ear drum and severe hearing loss all in less than a years time he was definitely in need of some help/relief...I think I was too! The procedure itself took less than 15 minutes and was so not a big deal. The worst part of the whole ordeal was when he was waking up from anesthesia...kind of weird holding your child who is crying and looking up at you wondering who in the heck you are. I know that sometimes tubes are not always a permanent fix but so far so good and I would do it all over again if need be. Since the surgery he hasn't had an ear infection and has added many words to his vocabulary...and saying them correctly! The same day he had his surgery he said milk and cracker for the first time. I was super excited...it was like watching him take his first steps. We went back to the ENT last Friday for a post op check up, his ears are perfectly clear of all the nasty gunk and he aced his hearing test! I guess as parents we all have our own variations of things we obsess over. Some maybe more serious than others, but this is definitely one issue I am thankful to not be stressing about anymore!

Locked In

Yep, that's right...Reed was accidentally locked in a running vehicle, in the middle of the country.

My parents have a place out in East Texas that is literally in the middle of the sticks. It is so far off the beaten path that they bought a truck to leave down at the nearest airport to drive while you are there.

Reed and I joined my mom last Wednesday for a quick trip so she could get a few things done around there. We stopped in town to drop off my car, picked up the truck and headed into the forest. After we got to the house and unloaded our things, we drove the truck down so she could change the battery in the deer feeder. I was sitting in the front seat reading directions to her on how to install the battery and in the mean time Reed climbed in the back and was playing with his car seat. I noticed his cheeks starting to turn pink so I turned the truck on to get some airflow.

After she installed the battery she was wanting to move the truck closer so she could stand on the side to see how much corn was left in the feeder. I jumped out to help guide her closer, shut the passenger door just as she was trying to open the driver side door. Next thing I hear is "oh my gosh Jessica, the doors are locked." I proceeded with an "oh s#!%, what are we gonna do???" My heart sank and I went into complete freak out mode. Here we are in the middle of no where and my child is locked inside of a running vehicle. I ran up to the house, grabbed our phones and luckily was able to get in touch with my dad to tell him to call a lock smith. While waiting for someone to show up, if anyone was going to show up, we were able to guide Reed to the front seat. I was yelling at him to push the button in hopes he would hit the unlock button but he just kept hitting the lock button or go and act like he was driving the truck...with a big smile on his face. Finally, after about 30 minutes of yelling "push the button" he tapped the down button for the window and we were able to stick a coat hanger down the side and hit the unlock button. Reed was free at last.

I think I almost put myself into labor and my mom about gave herself a heart attack while Reed was having a blast. Thank goodness he didn't start freaking out because I think that would have made the situation way more hectic. HUGE lesson learned, always make sure the truck is unlocked before shutting the door.

I feel like I am violating the little guy but here is the money shot!!!

My mom always told me that I was going to have a house full of boys and boy was she ever so right! Jason and I could not be any happier and I know that Reed and his little brother are going to be the best of friends! :) I might be a tad bit disappointed there will not be bows, dresses or tutus around the house, but would honestly not have it any other way. We still do not have a name nor do we even have a list of names...pitiful. I am starting to feel better and smile about life again. Baby and I are growing right along. I went from loosing weight to gaining a billion lbs this last visit and he is measuring a week ahead of schedule. I feel him move all the time now and I am loving it!

Everything looks great with little man on the sono but my placenta is still low. Dr. S said this is something very normal and has never had a patients placenta not move into the correct position before giving birth. I guess if you go into labor and start to dilate it will cause the placenta to tear. So, we will do another sono in 8 weeks just to make sure it is where it is supposed to be.

We had a pretty low key Halloween this year. Since I haven't been feeling my best I really hadn't put much thought into it. I waited until the week before to buy Reed a costume, which I highly suggest NOT doing. There was absolutely nothing in his size. Just another one of the many bad mommy moments I have had lately. My parents came over early that afternoon and carved a pumpkin with Reed. Then Jason's parents and the Dercks Family came over to do some trick-or-treating. I have to say my little man is quite the pro at trick or treating. I don’t think he understood the concept of it but he sure thought he was big stuff walking up to the house with his little pumpkin bucket and grabbing his very own piece of candy. It was too cute!

Last Friday KellieAnne and I decided to take Grace and Reed to this little pumpkin patch in Allen. I forgot how nice it was to have a little one that could not move. Since I last blogged or even read a blog and now I am completely overwhelmed. I have had a good reason and it is all due to this tiny little life growing inside of me making me feel like the biggest piece of you know what!

I remember feeling terrible with Reed, but nothing like this. I have been a horrible mom, wife and friend for the last I don't even know how many weeks. I am soooooo ready to start participating in life again. I think the sickness is FINALLY starting to come to an end but I am not getting my hopes up yet. I do still have bad days and nights but it is no where near what it has been. I am keeping my fingers tightly crossed that I will feel great and be able to enjoy life again very soon!

I just looked at my blog and it still has a summer background and my last "real" blog was about or family vacation this summer...sad :( Now that I am able to pick my head up off of the pillow I am going to try my hardest to keep up with this dang blogging.

Florida Vacation

Last week we spent 7 days in Seaside, Florid with some of Jason's family and we had such a good time. This was Reed's first "real" vacation and I think he loved every minute of it. The weather was perfect, food was great and the beach was beautiful. I'm ready to go back!

I have to say that Reed & I are definitely getting use out of our Hawaiian Falls season pass. When I bought it I told myself that I needed to attempt to make it at least once a week and I think I've been pretty successful. It gets us out of the house & Reed loves it. Monday, Jeni & I made the trek back out to the one in Mansfield to meet Megan & Katie. The kids had a great time and us girls had fun hanging out and catching up!

Reed has finally decided he wants to start thinking about walking, on his own! He took 7 steps last Friday and has taken several more since then! I am hoping that he will be "full" on walking by the time we go to the beach at the end of this month. I know it's wishful thinking on my end but it would sure be nice.

I know I haven't been the best blogger lately, but my life has been CRAZY. Last Friday we celebrated my niece and nephews birthday at my parents house. My brother-in-laws mom and sister came up from Houston to celebrate with us. We cooked out and had cold beverages by the pool. Happy Birthday Brendan and Sarah. Yesterday Reed & I met some friends at Hawaiian Falls in Mansfield. We had so much fun and it was great getting to see friends that we don't get to see on a regular basis.

4th of July Weekend...

We had a busy weekend of hanging out with our best friends, sitting by pools, watching fireworks and being pretty lazy. Jason had the day off Friday so he took advantage of it and he and David headed to Lake Texoma at 430 am to do some striper fishing. When they got back we headed to David's parents house to sit by the pool.

Saturday we headed over to some of our good friends house that we met through our church softball. We cooked out, sat by the pool and had a perfect view of more fireworks right from their backyard. They are super sweet and have precious 6 month old twins, Lake & Allie. Thanks Jack and Lisa for having us over! We had a blast!

Kayla, I'm sure gonna miss you girl.

This has truly been one of the hardest days of my life. I lost my yellow lab of 10 years today. I knew that this day was inevitable but never realized how devastated I would be. I know she is running & playing in heaven right now as I sit here with tears streaming down my face. She was one funny pooch. She drove me crazy at times with her constant barking and panting, but brought me happiness over the years. Kayla girl, I'm sure gonna miss you. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

Today we met Katie, Brooks, Kim & Noah at Hawaiian Falls. What a great place for little people! Even though Reed & Noah couldn't do much, they had a great time crawling through the water and watching Brooks go down the slide....a million times. I think Katie was worn out by the time we left. Kim & I tried to take Noah & Reed down a slide with them sitting in our laps but we got in trouble. We had a blast and look forward to many more days there.

Saturday Reed & I hung out with Jeni & Jackson while our husbands fished. We let the boys play outside for a while in the sandbox and they ended up covered from head to toe in sand and in desperate need of a bath. Of course we couldn't ever get them to smile or look at the camera at the same time.

Today we went to my parents house to sit by the pool and catch some rays. Reed absolutely loves to be in the water. He likes to walk along the long step and play in the waterfalls or just chill in his float. It 's great entertainment for hours! When my dad got home from work we all loaded up and headed to one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants in downtown Ft. Worth, El Rancho Grande. YUMMMMY! What a great way to start off the weekend!

12 Month Check-Up

Reed had his 12 month well visit today. Dr. B said he looks great and gave him a perfect bill of health! He is still a big ole boy. He weighs 29 pounds 9 ounces & 33 inches long...both above the 97%. Looks like I have a linebacker on my hands. He got a couple of shots today but I did decide to hold off on the MMR until his 18 month check up. We did get a referral to see a pediatric endocrinologist. It's nothing to serious but it is something that we need to get checked out. Most of you that know Jason know that he had something called precocious puberty...at age 2. BIZAAR! In most cases it's not genetic but it seems to be a trend with the Blakely boys. I want to get Reed checked out to make sure he doesn't have it. If he does, I want to start treatment ASAP so he wont have to go through what his daddy had to go through. Please say a little prayer for him.

Saturday we had Reed's Baseball Birthday Bash at the house. We had a great time and there were a ton of people here. To be exact, 77 warm little bodies in my house. Yes I know...INSANE. I want to thank everyone who came to celebrate his 1st birthday with us. He is one loved little boy. We had lots of yummy food, a big slide, a bounce house(thanks to Jeni's neighbors) and little pools for the kiddos. Thanks again everyone for helping make his day extra special!
